The 2nd Annual Astros Foundation Cactus Jack HBCU Classic is set for Friday, February 16 through Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Minute Maid Park. The Classic, is an annual, round-robin collegiate baseball classic designed by the Astros Foundation and Astros Youth Academy to highlight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their baseball programs.
The nine-game tournament will feature Houston-area Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern University, and four schools from neighboring Louisiana and Mississippi – Southern University, Grambling State, Jackson State, and Alcorn State University.
- Round-robin format with three (3) games each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- State to State game matchups (JSU vs Alcorn St.; GSU vs. SUBR; TSU vs. PVAMU)
- College fair hosted by the Astros Youth Academy highlighting over 100 colleges and universities.

VENDORS
Vendor Booths are available for the Astros Foundation Cactus Jack HBCU Classic. Booths will be set up from Friday, February 16 - Sunday, February 18 along the main concourse of Minute Maid Park to ensure maximum exposure to tournament attendees. Standard booths will be 10'x10'. Larger sized booths will be 10'x20'. All vendors will need to obtain a Certificate of Liability Insurance to enter Minute Maid Park. Vendor Booths include:
10'x10' - (1) 6ft. table + black linen + (2) banquet chairs + (4) Booth/Vendor Badges - Cost: $400.000
10'x20' - (2) 6ft. table + black linen + (4) banquet chairs + (4) Booth/Vendor Badges - Cost: $600.000
