The Astros Youth Academy along with former professional softball player and MLB youth sports ambassador - Jennie Finch will be hosting the Jennie Finch Softball Clinic at Sylvester Turner Park on Thursday, October 1, 2026. We are inviting select Astros Youth Academy Softball players ages 7-18 to participate in the clinic. SPOTS ARE LIMITED. Players will need to report to the Astros Youth Academy on October 1, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. Clinic will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Players will need to wear/bring softball pants, Orange Youth Academy/Astros Foundation or Athletic T-shirt, turfs/cleats, glove and bring all equipment. All participant will receive an Astros Swag Bag.

Professional Softball Player - Jennie Finch will teach fundamentals of pitching, fielding and hitting.

Clinic is for girls ages 7-18. Clinic will be limited to the first 75 participants to sign up. WALK-UPS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND.

Beginning Pitching Session (Ages 7-18) - This introductory pitching session is designed for athletes who are new to pitching or looking to build a strong foundation. Participants will learn basic pitching mechanics, proper technique, and fundamental skills. No previous pitching experience required.

Defensive/Offensive Sessions (Ages 7-18) - Athletes who are not participating in the pitching session will receive instruction in both offensive and defensive fundamentals including hitting, fielding, and throwing.

Please wear softball pants, Astros Nike RBI Jersey, Orange Youth Academy T-shirt (if your child has one; if not one will be provided) or athletic T-shirt, cleats, glove and bring all equipment.

Please report to Field 1 to check in for the clinic (See map). Use the S. Victory Dr. Entrance to Sylvester Turner Park (2801 S. Victory Dr., 77088)

Parking lot may fill-up. Additional Parking: 3130 Holder Forest Dr., Houston, TX 77088Water/Hydration: Please bring AT LEAST 2-3 bottles of water or water jug with plenty of water. Players will exert plenty of energy and the weather is VERY hot, so please bring extra water/hydration for the clinic.
There will be very limited seating and shade in the stands for parents. If you wish to stay, please bring your own folding/portable chair and shade.
